Brie cheese is another that originates from France and is a soft and creamy dairy cheese made of cows milk.
It is originally named after a region in France called Brie, as many cheeses around the world are. It is aged and through this process it creates a white mould rind which hides a greyish soft cheese within.
Due to this process of creation and utilising a cow for its milk to create, this means that originally it is not actually vegan.
But there are now many vegan brie cheese offerings that can be bought around the world that look identical and taste just as good as its dairy counterpart.
Above you can see the Vacka Vrie which is made in Barcelona in Spain, one of our favourite brie vegan cheeses we've tried.
Another below is the Mouse's Favourite brie with cranberry which is one of their Christmas specials they put out each year.
As you can see there are some incredible options to try in the family of Brie, even if you are vegan.
We have a one of a kind vegan cheese database which has almost 2000 vegan cheeses you can search through, filter and find new favourites and from that we can see there are over 60 different vegan brie cheeses available around the world to try today.
All with similar processes to make to the traditional way of creating, but with different base ingredients made from plants rather than using a cow for its milk.
