One of the pioneering companies of the vegan food movement in the last few decades, VBites has had to share some sad news with us recently.
VBites, much loved vegan company has now gone into administration. A company that has been making vegan food since it's purchase and rebrand by entrepreneur, Heather Mills in 2003.
They were founded in 1993, so had been pursuing vegan foods and developments for over 30 years.
Vbites has been a front runner in providing plant-based meat, fish and cheese slices and blocks throughout this 30 years.
Made in the UK and based from Sussex, Vbites has become the go to over it's 30 years in production for some of their offerings. Producing their range from two sites, one in Northampton and one in County Durham.
They were even creating new products and launches as recently as last year with the new vegan cheese burgers which we got to taste test at Vegan Camp Out in 2022.
Rising costs and lack of new funding available to the business has led to it's fall into administration.
This is a sad time for vegan cheese lovers, from Mozzarella, Cheddar, Pepperjack, hard Italian or Edam, Vbites had created quite the selection of vegan cheese options over the years that will no longer be available to purchase.
Thanks for everything you did to help the cause VBites!
