It's a new year which means only one thing, new vegan cheese as part of the veganuary and this year is no different.
We headed to Aldi in the UK to find exactly what new vegan cheeses they have launched and whether they are selling any other brands.
It's a new year which means only one thing, new vegan cheese as part of the veganuary and this year is no different.
We headed to Aldi in the UK to find exactly what new vegan cheeses they have launched and whether they are selling any other brands.
What we found was amazing and we were genuinely surprised by their new offerings, below we'll have a look at what vegan cheese you can get in Aldi supermarkets in the UK.
Where Will You Find Vegan Cheese in Aldi
You will find the vegan cheese in Aldi in the chilled section, they never have more than one or two isles with chilled foods and we found the vegan section for this veganuary at the end of the aisle towards the back of the store.

This is what the cheese alternative and veganuary section of the Aldi store looked like.
We'd like to mention that this was not the complete offering of vegan alternatives by Aldi, opposite of this were a number of other vegan choices in the chilled section that you could get.
That included but was not limited to vegan bacon, vegan beef and chicken strips as well as yoghurt and other items that are all certified vegan.
The section above was the new veganuary section in Aldi which was just set up after the new year.
As well as cheese you can see a number of new items that you might fancy.
But if we zoomed in a little and took a closer look we can see what vegan cheese they are now offering.

The top two shelves, minus the eat lean dairy cheese where all new vegan dairy choices that Aldi have brought in to store for this years new launch of vegan products.
Non-Aldi Plant Menu Vegan Cheeses
We were really surprised to see Babybel Plant Based vegan cheese snacks here, at £1.75 a bag and plenty of stock in too. We were under the impression that a few new vegan cheeses made by Aldi would be new, but not cheeses by other brands.
As well as this you can see the Applewood Smoked vegan cheese middle top shelf which is now a staple in most supermarkets that are selling vegan cheese alternatives.
This leaves the remaining vegan cheese options all sold under the Plant Menu brand which is an Aldi vegan cheese alterntive.
Top right you can see three different vegan cheeses sold under the Plant Menu name, they are listed below.
In the longer photo at the top of this article you can also see Boursin Cream Cheese which sits above the Oat milk which is on the bottom shelf.
Aldi and Plant Menu Vegan Cheeses
Aldi Plant Menu Grated Parmesan Style vegan cheese can be seen top right in the bags.
In the same box as this you can see two other vegan cheeses, Plant Menu Greek Style Salad vegan cheese and Plant Menu Cheddar Block.
You can see on each shelf that the Plant Menu vegan cheeses by Aldi all come in at a really affordable £1.99
The Babybel is sold for £1.79 and Applewood Smoky is being sold at £2.29, so all affordable options and it really does feel like vegan cheese prices have come down a bit in the past few years to more supermarkets, such as Aldi now selling it too.
Aldi Plant Menu Greek Style Salad Vegan Cheese

This is an awesome white, greek style vegan cheese by Aldi which you can cut up in to squares and add to your pasta and salad dishes.
It is free from gluten and soya free as well.

And in a similar form, as a block, the Cheddar Block Style by Plant Menu which you can see below.
