We have started off with a vegan bang in 2020. The numbers of people signed up to do veganuary in 2019 was 250,000 people. This year already 370,000 people have signed up and veganuary isn't over yet. For the first time it feels as though veganism is hitting mainstream TV.

Here are three vegan television cooking programs airing now.

Living on the Veg - ITV

Living on the veg

You can catch this vegan cooking program on a Sunday between 10.30am and 11.30am. It brings a breath of fresh air to a time in the morning that normally hosts a non-vegan cooking program.

Living on the Veg is a ten part cooking mini series with the first episode already shown last week. It is hosted by two talented online chefs Henry Firth and Ian Theasby.

The first episode has aired, with a wide mix of delicious dishes in store each week and they'll even cover some vegan cheese recipes.

Showing that cooking vegan food can be quick, it can look amazing and also be tasty! Tune in this coming Sunday at 10.30am for the next episode.

Dirty Vegan - BBC

Dirty Vegan

Dirty Vegan is a TV vegan cooking show that is on it's second series. Hosted by Matt Pritchard, former Dirty Sanchez frontman turned endurance athlete and vegan chef.

Pritchard brings you a wonderful mix of cooking alongside his banging sense of humour, Pritchard brings you dishes that fill your plate with colour and full of flavour.

Motivated by reducing the environmental impact of our diet and being able to demonstrate how easy it is to go plant-based in Wales. The TV show aired on BBC often includes interviews with researchers from Cardiff University and a particular cooking challenge audience such as a football team or wedding party.

You can catch the next episode of Dirty Vegan at 7.30pm tonight in which he has to cook for a ball room dancing school.

 

My Planet Veg - Italian TV

Not quite on UK television, however this show definitely needs a mention. This is a vegan cooking show featuring Heather Mills and Marco Tricomo. The ten part cooking series influenced by mediterranean dishes and the ethos of vegan cooking. You'll be able to catch the show via SKY on the Gamero Rosso HD channel.
