This is under-rated, I think it should be a more popular choice. It has that mild cheddar cheese taste that is mellow and delicious.

The texture is great, which was was I thought it would be good. It tasted sweet to me and also like licorice, but I have been told I am "supertaster" with strong sense of taste especially artificial flavourings. I don't remember if I had it on toast, but uncooked I couldn't eat it.

I don't even like a strong cheese taste usually, it was the sweetness that put me off the most. It was almost like the licorice root as a sweetner, so maybe it was a plant based sweetener I am sensitive to?

This is the only vegan cheese I'd want to eat on a cracker. Tastes excellent unembellished, but I like it on a wheat cracker with a dab of onion jam.
