Ingredients: cashews, tapioca starch, home-grown lactobacillus cultures, coconut oil, salt, kappa carrageenan

Below is the description an information about this amazing vegan cheese from Foo by Sumears website.

Maturity: 10-days minimum.

Fun fact: This vegan cheese has won over dairy-experts with its authenticity of flavours.

The most popular one in the range that shocks a lot of dairy cheese makers, is approved by OG Greek ladies and adored by vegans.

It has a firm texture, yet crumbles easily. With a mild and tangy flavour, it has a moorish melt-in-your-mouth feel.

Gorgeous on its own, cafes love this cheese as a topper on salads, pasta dishes, veggies boxes and more. It has even been baked with and used on pizzas!

Based on cashew nuts & uses my in house made heritage of cultures and dairy cheese making techniques.

Uses: Can be crumbled as a topping, melted and even baked with.

Wine Pairing: Pinot noir wine with a light and fruity profile.

Appearance

The Trimma Greek comes as a rectangle block of approx 100 grams of vegan cheese.

It's white in colour and looks similar in appearance to feta, and other greek cheeses.

This cheese has had a minimum of 10 days to mature, so you know you'll be getting deeper flavours than most other vegan cheeses.

Aroma

Has a creamy, milky aroma to it.

A very slight sourness to it too, it smells fantastic!

Flavour

The Trimma has a delightfully tangy flavour that also has a saltiness and a butterness to it that melts in your mouth.

It isn't an over powering flavour, it's one that has a variety of subtle tones that linger on your tongue.

We like it's saltiness and It's saltiness makes it rather moorish too.

Texture

This cheese is a semi firm cheese and when cuttng into it will need a little bit of force.

The firm texture means it cuts well and you can get lovely firm slices from the cheese but you have the option to crumble the cheese up if you want to add it to the top of a meal you have made.

You'll also find as you eat this cheese you'll really taste the chalkiness too, its so unique and has a lot going on.

This is quite the versatile semi firm vegan cheese.

Longevity

This vegan cheese can be frozen and when opened it can be stored for up to 4 weeks in the fridge.

Environmental Credentials

The cheese is made and shipped within the UK,using natural and traditional cheese making techniques.

You can check out more about how Sumear does this on his website.

The cheese is also wrapped in a cellulose plastic which means it can be put in the compost and will degrade.

Summary

A beautiful and unique firm vegan cheese that reminds us of holidays on the med, perfect by itself and crumble on top of a pasta dish.
