This is one of those special occasion types of cheese that you will want to share with others, vegan or not vegan.
Now you might find yourself thinking that 100g really isn't that much when it comes to cheese. However you'll be surprised how far this will go and how filling such cheese can be.

Using a base of almonds and mixed with nutritional yeast, coconut oil and additional flavourings, this is a people pleaser kind of cheese.
Bought from La Fauxmargerie you'll find it lovingly and environmentally packaged, make sure to get it straight in the fridge when it arrives to keep it looking and tasting its best.
On a Cheese Board
I feel if you're going for a vegan cheese board you need a good looking blue cheese on the board and the Honestly Tasty Veganzola ticks the boxes on this.
Sliced
Sliced onto crackers you'll get some lovely firm yet soft and spreadable slices to cream along the cracker further or bite your teeth into.
Appearance
The Veganzola from Honestly Tasty is a work of art to look at.
With its creamy white colour with veins of blue running through it. Its appearance reminded me that of a chocolate viennetta with a blue colour instead of chocolate. To the outer of the vegan cheese is a wonderfully darkened blue soft outer shell (not quite a rind).
Aroma
The cheese is not overpowering in its aroma, it has a subtle blue cheesy smell. I wouldn't say this is a stinky cheese, but it is difficult to tell this is dairy free.
Flavour
This is one delicious vegan cheese, it is not strong with its blue tone flavour. It is particularly creamy with an after tone of blue.
Made from a base of almonds there is a little hint of this in there. It's overall flavour is very subtle making it a great addition to a cheese board party, especially with its beautiful appearance.
Texture
It has a semi soft texture that makes it particularly easy to cut with a cheese knife. The veganzola serves up nicely placed on a vegan cheese board and as it cuts it squishes the cheese slightly in quite a decadent movement.
It lives up to its semi soft label with it being easy to spread on top of a cracker. If its just come out of the fridge it will be a little firmer.
Longevity
In the fridge the cheese can be kept for one week and frozen can be kept up to 4 weeks however there may be slight changes to the flavour if kept stored for any longer.
Environmental Credentials
The use of organic produce is noted in the ingredients from the organic tapioca flour and fairtrade and organic coconut oil. The cheese is also wrapped in paper and sent with paper packaging.
Summary
Creamy, delicious and beautiful in appearance. This veganzola is not very strong or stinky but is a great vegan cheese for anyone to try from those new to vegan cheese, those not sure of blue cheese and also cheese connoisseurs.
