It has a minimal amount of ingredients, which we always look for and love in a vegan cheese, they can be seen below.

Ingredients: Water | Cashew Nuts | Salt | Cultures |  Penicillium Candidum

Appearance

Firstly the size of this beauty, is a wonderful helping of 200 grams. This is one that you'll be able to share (or not if you adore your white bloom cheeses).

The outer layer has a bold white rind that forms the "crust" of the cheese and gives it that rigidity. On the outer, as a whole this is a firm cheese, but slice through and you'l find it to be more of a semi-soft.

You'll even find when slicing into this cheese a slight squeek of cracking through the rind.

Once you're in, the cheese reveals a more delicate and supple interior, that is not white but a earthy, blonde tone.

Due to it's size, you'll also get nice long slices of this cheese when you cut through.

Aroma

Warm, creamy, nutty aromas.

Quite simple aromas and smell, and all very pleasant.

Flavour

Your first bite into the cheese, hits you with that fluffy white mould with it's own firm texture and full on rind flavour.

It's contrasting taste as you delve into the softer side of a mature, a little nutty, salty and moreish interior.

Texture

This is a semi-soft cheese, the semi-firm applies more to the exterior bloom of the cheese that really holds and encases it.

The interior of the cheese is much softer, has a rather elegant, buttery cheese form to it, associated more so with a brie style.

You can slice it, and spread it on your favourite cracker due to its form.

Longevity

With an expiry of 3 months, this cheese will last a fare while until you slice into it (as long as it's kept in the fridge).

Environmental Credentials

Love the wooden bark box exterior, the paper wrapping.

The box also specifies the cheese is organic which is fantastic too. 

Summary

This is a rather moreish, creamy yet salty, camembert style vegan cheese with a delicious depth and a good quantity that allows you to share on your favourite cheese charcuterie board with friends.
